PLANT LIBRARY- Limelight Hydrangea- my favorite of the mopheads!

Landscape with Limelight!

I was out at Revolution Mill today planning my daughters wedding- and I could not help but notice these AWESOME Limelight Hydrangeas.  One of my favorite of the mophead varieties.  A staple this year in garden design and landscaping, they grow 5-6' in height and similar spread. They boast huge white-tinged-green showstopping flower displays. An easy care, no fuss shrub can be grown easily in a partly shady garden. The flowers are beautiful for cutting arrangements or can be dried for a longer lasting arrangement. Hydrangea blooms are also popular for wedding bouquets this year!

Limelight is a great companion plant to any of the following in the garden:

*Astilbe
*Hosta
*Bergenia
*Cephalotaxus
*Azalea

Prune in winter once the plant has gone dormant- since Limelight only blooms on new wood. If you prune too late and new growth has started, you will lose out on that gorgeous display! Since this variety is very popular this year; so you should be able to find it easily at any home and garden store or your local nursery.
